We are an organization dedicated to freedom and peace. Our mission is to stop the suffering of all sentient beings without exception.
Beginning Sunday, March 30, 2008, a group of ten will begin a march from New York City to Washington D.C. We are protesting the Beijing Olympics and are peacefully walking for peace and freedom in Tibet and neighboring countries. The atrocities in Tibet have been tremendous since the Chinese occupation that began 49 years ago. In this modern age, how can we allow any type of suffering to occur without doing something to prevent or stop it. The Tibetan people have lost their freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of being human. Tibetans are being arrested for speaking out against the Chinese government who are performing a cultural genocide in Tibet. They are annihilating the entire Tibetan race by overloading the Tibetan region with thousands of Chinese settlers. Peaceful Tibetans have been reduced to living in poor conditions with little to no rights. They have been turned into refugees and many have fled their country for survival. Currently, the death toll has surpassed 130 Tibetans in the past month. Check Radio Free Asia, CNN and BBC news for more information. If we allow the Chinese to continue their genocide, and allow the Olympics to carry forth, we as human beings are just as bad. If we sit around and do nothing, we are no more than selfish human beings. We have become people who care about only ourselves and the bettering of our immediate family. We have forgotten about our global family, who needs help immediately. The UN must do something. Countries must get involved. They must put money and power aside and put the truth in perspective. We are all one family of sentient beings living on this one rock in space called Earth. Why are we allowing suffering to occur on this scale or at all? Our human family, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, relatives are suffering, dieing, being tortured in Chinese prisons and jails. Are we to stand around and do nothing. Are we going to continue performing meaningless tasks and jobs that do nothing but put money in our own pockets? We of "The People's Organization for a Peaceful World" feel that this suffering must stop. Our mission is to save and liberate the people of the world who are suffering, starting with Tibet, beginning with the boycotting of the Beijing Olympics. For all of the athletes who have trained hard for their gold medals, please put aside personal gain and think about others. What would your medal be without other people being alive? It would be nothing, a piece of metal with no meaning if there is no one to share in the glory. As human beings, we rely on others for everything. In our modern world we can not exist without the help of others. Without other sentient beings, life is meaningless and there is no one to share the happiness and love. Please, whoever reads this, make others aware of the situation and stop the Olympics. Make contacts, put yourself aside and think about others. If others suffer, we all suffer. If not directly, then indirectly. Please save humanity, save lives, stop the suffering.
Long live His Holiness the Dalai Lama,Long live the Panchen Lama,Long live the Tibetan People,Long live all Good People,
Peace and Happiness to all sentient beings.
